Massage sessions can run up to 20 minutes or as long as the baby is happy and engaged in the therapy. 20 minute sessions are $15/ 10 minutes for $9

Herbal Rub Therapy

Herbal rub therapy focuses on addressing dysfunction and restoring balance in the pelvic basin and vertebral column. It can ease complaints of arthritic pain, swelling, general muscle aches, PMS or respiratory problems. This is a body work therapy that can be a stand-alone service or part of a full body massage session. This work may be done with moderate pressure at times on trigger points that may or may not be tender to direct pressure. This is done in order to help release knots that hinder circulation due to contraction of the tissue by stretching it and helping to break the cycle of dysfunctional contraction. Focus is along the spine but can also be on the shoulder area, glutes and other points discovered during work.

·       Active trigger points can cause referred pain. Referred pain is pain that is felt in another area of the body when an active trigger point is stimulated by pressure.

·       You may be asked to give your therapist feedback during the session about pain levels and any referral pain you may experience during the applied pressure. Pain response of 5 or 6 out a scale of 1-10 may be experienced during this work but will diminish as the therapy released the points.

·       The herbal rub oils start with the application of peppermint (helps open pores), followed by lobelia (muscle relaxer) and completed with capsicum (for warmth, circulation and absorption).

Lymphatic Drain Massage

The lymph system is a vital part of the body’s immune and waste system. It impacts every organ in the body and helps to improve their function by removing waste products and returning tissue fluid to the blood, plays an important role in intestinal absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins, and supports the body’s immune defense against disease. Lymphatic drain massage can assist in enhancing lymph circulation which can be slowed by many factors in day-to-day life.

Lymphatic drain massage is light to light but firm pressure and can run 50-90 minutes which includes abdominal work. A breast clearing can also be added to the therapy and can be very beneficial to breast health.
