Natural Health Education

Below are the regular classes that are available from YWI currently. This list is not exhaustive and can be tailored to meet demand and need. The first 6 classes are an educational series that builds a foundation of understanding about personal natural health and are best done in order but can be done individually also. Each session has the option for additional add-on activities that include “make and takes”, demonstrations, and assessments. The other introductory courses are informational sessions about other natural health modalities and how they can be integrated into a holistic care plan. These sessions will offer some free demonstrations and provide ways to receive discounted wellness services at YWI. 


Every class will offer educational resource lists for participants to continue  their education and research for themselves at their own pace. 


Introductory classes will run 2-3 hours with Q&A session time at the end and more advanced courses can run 3-4 with hands ons or client participation times.

Come learn about what Naturopathy is and all the wonderful forms of natural medicine that lie under its umbrella. Learn ways that you can use different forms in everyday life and what you should always have on hand for emergencies. There will be talk about where to look for good sources to buy and also how some things can be made right at home.

 

This class can be viewed as a recorded online course post offering for those who can not make it to the physical class.

This class will cover the intricate and amazing systems within our bodies and how they all affect each other over the course of our lives. Many people do not realize how interconnected the systems are and how one imbalanced system can seriously unbalance another. This class can be very helpful for those that have gall bladders or thyroids removed and will have a significant portion focused on digestive health and rebalancing.

Muscle Response Testing will be offered for those interested before and after the class by appointment.

This class will have movement education/practice for those interested

This class will focus on learning the many different ways we can get remedies and natural medicine from nature. Learning the reasons why different types work in different situations and how to know what to use. What should be on hand for emergencies and during traveling.

How to instructions and handouts for making homemade remedies at home like tinctures, extracts, and infusions.

Make and take will be available for this session for additional cost.

This class will be the first in a series for those that want a well-rounded experience and deeper understanding of the medicinal degrees of food for our bodies. The classes are best done in order but can be done in any order or as individual courses. This initial class will give a good foundational education and introduction to group varieties, how the “organic” game works, and how to clean before consumption. There will also be information about water in all aspects of our lives and common misunderstandings about hydration and what it means.

 

The preservation portion of this class can be a demonstrational or make and take with an overview of live foods for those interested.

This class will offer a deep dive into all the essential minerals and vitamins that are often misunderstood. Find out what researchers advise for optimal levels when performing and reading laboratory testing and what labs should be done in complete panels.
